The Gogebic County Economic Development Commission (GCEDC) is a business attraction and retention organization that works closely with local municipalities, civic organizations, business owners, educational facilities, health care providers and utility providers interested in the continued economic growth of Gogebic County, Michigan.  Its mission is to foster the economic development of Gogebic County by providing land use tools, Brownfield Redevelopment Programs, business planning, financial assistance and marketing programs that create a positive business climate to better enable the marketing of the area as an attractive location for business and industry.

 

Our belief is that a sound economic base is essential to maintain the quality of life within our region.  The GCEDC works with a solid network of partners.  The GCEDC fosters economic development, encourages and supports employers and full employment for our residents.
