WE ARE RECONSTRUCTING OUR SITE, PLEASE CHECK BACK SOON

The Gogebic County Forest was established in 1943 and has grown into a 50,000+ acre forest that provides multiple use forest opportunities and benefits to the people of Gogebic County as well as the region.  It is the only County Forest Program of its kind in MICHIGAN, and is completely self supporting.

The Gogebic County Forest is located in the heart of Big Snow Country in Michigan's Western Upper Peninsula.  It's vast Northern Hardwood stands help produce some the finest Sugar Maple sawlogs and veneer in the world.  It's scenic views along Lake Superior and the famous Montreal River are unparalleled.

Our offices are now located in the Gogebic County Natural Resources Center, at   500 N. Moore St., Bessemer, between Massie Field and Bluff Valley Park.
